Zawariq is a boat repair and marine maintenance shop that also buys and sells select water vehicles.
Founded Rashid Al Thawadi and Salah Murad, two avid boaters and expert fishermen who retired after lengthy corporate careers. The partners have a deep respect for the Kingdom of Bahrain's waters and seek to promote a deep culture of respect for the environment.
The Founders
Our co-founders are passionate Bahraini boating and fishing aficionados with decades of experience who manage and oversee a team of expert repairmen, specializing in small yachts and refurbishing luxury boats.
Mr. Rashid Al Thawadi
A retired First Warrant Officer, Rashid is a well-rounded and highly skilled partner with more than 42 years of experience in electrical, mechanical and welding with companies such as ALBA, Brown & Root. He has worked on all outboard power engines including but not limited to Yamaha, Suzuki, Johnson, and Mercury.
Mr. Salah Murad
A retired banker after 33 years of service, Salah is the main visionary and driver of the business, from initial idea to financial support. A keen fisherman when he gets the chance to wet the line, Salah has had a lifelong respect for the environment, and ensures his company is deeply influenced by his values.
